The teen star of Hannah Montana fame, has included an eco-education song on her latest album, Breakout. In the song, called Wake Up America, Cyrus calls for America to wake up to the environmental issues facing the world and admits that while she reads a lot about the various issues she doesn’t fully understand them.

Hopefully, given her popularity, this song will help to raise awareness of environmental issues within her generation. Fortunately for the planet though, kids her age already seem to be well aware of the need to be more conscious of the environment; it is their parents that need the education (perhaps it would help if her father released a cover of Miley’s song especially for them!).

Green Teens
Along with Miley, there are teens around the world working to improve the way we treat the environment. Everything from building hyper-efficient cars to compete in eco-marathons, to the activities of the Greensburg High School Green Club members; the adults of tomorrow are already aware of the challenges our planet faces, and are doing something about it. Wake up parents!
